TAMARA Ecclestone has criticised her sister’s ex-husband after he called her dad a “C-list celebrity dwarf” following their bitter divorce.
The socialite and daughter of former Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone, 87, was left reeling by James Stunt’s comments to Tatler Magazine and vowed to “tell the truth about him”.
James, 36, said that, initially, Petra, 29, was “the best girl I ever met”, before going on to describe her as “this girl who’s had a lobotomy and gone to Jonestown. This is a horrible human being”.
Sharing a screenshot of an article in which billionaire playboy James claimed his marriage to Petra affected his social status and mocked the height of Bernie, Tamara, 33, wrote: “What kind of a ‘man’ does this on his daughter’s birthday. Unless he stops telling lies about my family we will have to start telling the truth about him.”
Bernie, who stands at 5ft 2in, responded to the comments in a dignified manner, telling the MailOnline: “He can say what he likes as every man is entitled to their own opinion, and if that is his opinion of me that is good.
“But it is a pity that he is like that. He was a nice guy when he got married.”
Petra was granted sole custody of the pair’s three children in January.
After six years of marriage, Petra and James had a five-minute “quickie” divorce last October following a 12-month battle over their £5.5billion fortune.
Before last month’s hearing, Tamara hailed her sister’s strength of mind.
The mum-of-one said: “You may be my little sister, but you have shown unimaginable strength, dignity and composure.
“Proud of you.”
Bernie previously said of gold dealer James: “I used to like him. He used to be an honourable person. But now he is an idiot. When Petra first knew him, I thought he was a nice guy.

“I was happy to be with him and meet with him. He used to come to the house sometimes and talk about things.
“He was very sensible and level-headed. If he said he was going to do something, he did it. He was that sort of a guy.
“Completely different to what he turned out to be later on.'”
