TAMARA Ecclestone divided opinion on Loose Women when she revealed she is still breastfeeding daughter Fifi on her last day of nursery before she starts school in September.
The model and businesswoman, 34, shocked viewers earlier today when she explained that a nightly feed is still part of her four-year-old’s bedtime routine.
The show opened with the heiress – who is married to Jay Rutland – explaining that she became emotional when taking her daughter to her school uniform fitting recently ahead of her last day of nursery tomorrow and first day of school in September.
Tamara later confirmed she is still breastfeeding her, and was asked how exactly her daughter asks for “the boob”.
She explained: “Now it’s only at bedtime and part of her bedtime routine. We read four stories and then she has the boob.
“Then she just falls asleep, that’s her way. She doesn’t have her bottle, dummy or anything else to comfort her. And it’s happening less and less.”
The daughter of Bernie Ecclestone left viewers divided over the way she is bringing up her daughter.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “A 4 year old on your tit? Your weird! #loosewomen”
Another commented: “Breastfeeding at 4. Weird as f**k. #loosewomen”
However, another posted their support for the socialite, sharing: “Day is made, love Tamara Ecclestone! #LooseWomen”
A second fan added: “Love Tamara! She doesn’t post photos on social media for the ‘likes’, she does it to normalise breastfeeding. Because yes it is natural but it’s still not seen as normal!
“I still breastfeed my 3 year old & am also breastfeeding my 4 month old #normalisebreastfeeding#LooseWomen”
It comes after Tamara vowed to stop breastfeeding her daughter when she reaches the age of four and a half.
The Formula 1 heiress has previously been criticised for continuing to breastfeed the youngster as she grows up.
She has said she is aiming to stop breastfeeding her by September – so she’s got just two months left.
Speaking to magazine editor Jo Elvin on her weekly podcast Is It Just Me?, Tamara explained that she still breastfeeds her daughter “three or four times a week” in the evenings to help her fall asleep.

Tamara said: “I think the end is pretty close because now it’s something that’s just at night times and it’s not even every night.
“It’s when she’s really tired – a comfort thing – or when she’s maybe a bit under the weather.
“So I definitely think that, probably after the summer, she’ll be done.”
