SOCIALITE Tamara Ecclestone has been advised to have her dog put down after the pet bit six of her friends.
They had to be taken to hospital for tetanus jabs after being attacked by Tibetan mastiff Belle.
An animal behavioural expert is believed to have been called out to assess the dog, thought to be three years old, over concerns she may nip Tamara’s daughter Sophia, four — known as Fifi.
A source said: “Belle is the apple of that family’s eye, but she’s a beefy brute.
“She spends time in her cage downstairs, and perhaps feels frustrated and takes it out on humans.
“After biting an acquaintance who was taken to hospital and was understandably livid, they called in a canine behavioural expert for an assessment.
“Not surprisingly, it was suggested that perhaps Belle be put to sleep so as to avoid any future incidents and over concerns she may bite Fifi.
“But Belle is a cherished member of the family and Tamara is loath to do it.”
Pure Tibetan mastiffs are one of the world’s most prized dog breeds.
In 2011, one sold at auction for £1.2million.

They can weigh up to 11st and make excellent guard dogs, but are often nervous around new people.
Tamara, 34, daughter of ex-F1 boss Bernie, regularly posts pictures of Sophia with the family’s dogs.
But she has admitted she does not know how many she has and that it could be “nine or ten”.
